Necklaces

Upcycled lock from Paris

I started by first making an Amethyst necklace as a friend of mine had given me the crystal and I wanted a way to wear it! I figured out how to wrap wire around the crystal and then cut the leather to thread the crystal on it. I did not add a catch to the leather as I wanted to be able to adjust the length of the necklace.

Once I had made the first crystal necklace it was easy to make the Smokey Quartz and Rose Quartz ones. However the Rose Quartz necklace was the hardest to make as the stone is smooth so it was hard to encase it in the wire.

The other necklaces were made by threading charms I had bought or upcycled, onto leather.

At Christmas I was given some seed beads as a present these are tiny beads that can be used for making rings, I made a couple of necklaces using the seed beads.
